The Quality Electric team consists of hundreds of dedicated professionals. Our field electricians are trained to function independently and responsibly while our support staff works to give you an incredible customer experience. Executive Leadership Team

Jay Hintze / President
Jay’s parents Paul and Marjorie Hintze started Quality Electric from their home in 1962. Jay grew up in the industry and after he graduated from Boise State University, he completed his electrical apprenticeship with the JATC in 1989.
Jay currently serves as the President of Quality Electric and has been in this position since 2001.
While away from work Jay enjoys spending time with his Vizslas hunting birds in the Idaho Mountains, and spending time with his wife Anita and their grandchildren.
David Bradshaw

David Bradshaw

David Bradshaw has been a dedicated member of the Quality Electric, Inc. team for over two decades. As Vice President, he leads the Executive Management Team, guiding the company’s strategic direction with a focus on structure, processes, and leadership.
David began his career at Quality Electric as an apprentice electrician, bringing with him a background in aviation electronics from his service in the U.S. Coast Guard and hands-on experience as a general contractor. His technical expertise and drive to master the electrical trade quickly set him apart. After earning his Journeyman Electrician license, David was given the opportunity to grow and lead the Service Department, where he played a key role in expanding its capabilities and strengthening client relationships.
Today, David is an instrumental part of Quality Electric’s leadership, ensuring that the company continues to deliver excellence while evolving to meet new challenges in the industry.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time in the Idaho mountains with his wife, Silvia, where they share a love of the outdoors.
Larry Geyer

Larry Geyer

Larry joined Quality Electric in 1988 after proudly serving in the U.S. Navy for five years. Since then, he has actively contributed to the industry through his involvement in several key organizations, including the Southwestern Idaho Apprenticeship Committee, National Electrical Code Panel 1, the NFPA-99 Healthcare Electrical Panel, Construction Industry Council member Boise State University Construction Management, and Idaho Public Works Contractors Board.
As a member of the Executive Management team, Larry oversees critical areas including Preconstruction Services Group and Construction Support Services Group. He holds Master Electrician licenses in Idaho, Oregon, and Utah.
Outside of work, Larry enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Lisa, their children, and grandchildren whether on the beach or exploring the Idaho mountains.
Andrew Baker

Andrew Baker

With over 23 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, including 16 years specializing in Semiconductor and Data Center projects, Andrew has built a distinguished career at Quality Electric. He began with the company in 2002 as a material handler while in high school, later joining the Electrical Apprenticeship Program in 2005 and returning as an apprentice in 2008. Andrew earned his Journeyman Electrical License in 2010 and his Master Electrical License in 2016. Most recently, he completed the NECA Innovation Institute (2023–2024) as part of the Bell Cohort, further deepening his expertise in emerging industry technologies and trends.
Throughout his career, Andrew has advanced through a variety of roles, demonstrating technical expertise, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. Currently, he serves as Department Manager of the Technology Group, where he oversees Mission Critical Semiconductor and Data Center projects and plays an active role on the Executive Management Team.
Outside of his professional life, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, whether boating on Payette Lake or snowboarding in the mountains of Idaho.
Sid Patterson

Sid Patterson

Sid Patterson has dedicated his entire career to Quality Electric, beginning his journey in 2000 as an electrical apprentice. Over the years, he has grown within the organization and now serves as Senior Project Manager, overseeing multiple divisions including the Service, Industrial, Traffic, and Healthcare Departments, as well as the Project Management team.
As a member of the Executive Management Team, Sid plays a key role in shaping the company’s culture, organizational structure, and strategic goals.
Carl Pattek

Carl Pattek

Carl Pettek began his career with QEI in the summer of 2007 as a journeyman wireman.
He grew up in the construction trade as a carpenter working in his family’s business, before obtaining his Electrician license in 2001.
His journey through QEI started at the Micron Site in Boise and he quickly found his home in the Service Department where he later became the Service Manager. After more than 10 years running the department, he moved on to the Operations Manager Role and was appointed a member of the Executive Management Team. Carl is invested in our industry and is NECA Board member, CW Committee member, and the City of Boise Electrical Appeals Board member.
Time away from work is spent with his Wife, Daughter, and Son enjoying snowboarding, boating, golf and everything Valley County has to offer.
Sean Nelson

Sean Nelson

Sean Nelson serves as the Executive of Preconstruction Services at Quality Electric, Inc., where he leads the company’s estimating, budgeting, and constructability efforts to support strategic growth and successful project execution.
A Licensed Master Electrician, Sean brings extensive experience in electrical estimating, sales, and project management. With a deep understanding of electrical codes, industry best practices, and the construction process, he collaborates closely with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to align expectations and deliver accurate, competitive proposals. His leadership ensures seamless transitions from preconstruction to operations, providing clarity and confidence at every stage.
Today, Sean plays a key role in advancing Quality Electric’s preconstruction strategy by maintaining strong subcontractor relationships, monitoring market trends, and promoting open, forthright communication throughout project development.
Outside of work, Sean lives in Idaho City with his wife, Kim. He enjoys spending time with their family—including three children, two grandchildren, and two dogs—and he plays drums in a rock ’n’ roll band.
