A Rich History of Relationships and Service

Paul and Marjorie Hintze founded Quality Electric in 1962, in Boise Idaho. Together with their two children Jay and Paula, they began to build a foundation of a business that would later become the largest electrical contractor in the state of Idaho.

Sitework in the Desert
In 1968 Ken Holtz was hired to bring his field experience to the company and in 1980 Ken became the VP. After Paul’s untimely death his wife Marjorie took over as president of Quality Electric from 1987-1994 and she was named small business person of the year during her time as president. In 1994 Ken was named President of Quality electric and retired in 2001.
In 2001 Jay Hintze, son of founder Paul Hintze, became the president and continues to grow the company into the success it has become today.
